Our Facilities
Currently our facility is made up of Sanford Clinic Aberdeen and the Peter B Carter Endoscopy Center. We are excited to see the growth of Sanford Aberdeen as construction of the new Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center nears it's completion date of May 2012.
In the clinic we also have an on-site independent pharmacy for all your perscription needs.
UPDATES ON THE SANFORD ABERDEEN MEDICAL CENTER CONSTRUCTION:
The week of May 3, 2010 was an exciting time. We finally started to see several changes to the land west of the clinic. Lien Transportation's heavy equipment began to arrive and Ball Construction's job trailer was parked in its new home to oversee the construction of the new Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center project. Site work was under way with the dirt being moved off-site, on-site and packed. On May 18, 2010 Sanford held an official groundbreaking event. Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center Fact Sheets were handed out with interesting facts about the hospital in general and fun building facts.
As of the week of July 12, 2010 work continues on the new hospital daily. Construction crews have started to work on the footings while still moving dirt around the job site. They moved the clinic CT building from the northwest side of the clinic to the northeast side to allow construction of the hospital to continue.
As construction crews continue to work hard, we are now able to see some progress as a steel frame is now visable. Focus has also been on the stairwells and crews are still putting in new footings on the site. New photos have been added to the photo gallery that shows that progress as of Aug. 25, 2010.
Starting the first week of September you could see planking being laid on the second story floor. The structure is taking shape and it is wonderful to see new progress on the construction site daily.
Crews worked hard all winter. Bricks have been added to the back side of the building along with color and windows. Progress is being made on the outside and inside of the new hospital. A few new photos have been added to the photo gallery showing how the structure looks as of April 19 and 25, 2011.
When you drive by to look at the progress of the medical center construction project, you are able to see many changes. Workers have not only been working on the exterior of the building, they have also added an oxygen tank and generator near the back side. They have started to work on the parking lot and drive ways. Lots of work continues on the inside too. Walls are being painted, counters and cabinets are being hung and electrical work are just a few projects that keep the construction crews very busy. New photos have been added to the gallery page to see how the outside is taking shape as of Sept 9, 2011.
