Acute Care

When should you visit Acute Care?

Many situations are not emergencies, but do require immediate medical attention.  Those situations require what is referred to as acute care.  Examples of these types of needs include ear infections, sprains, high fevers, vomiting, urinary tract infections, and fractures.

Some conditions should be treated more immediately at the Emergency Room, those include seizure or loss of consciousness, uncontrolled bleeding, inability to breathe or shortness of breath, and chest pain.

Acute Care is located at:
Sanford Aberdeen Clinic
3015 3rd Ave SE
Aberdeen, SD 57401

Hours:
Weekdays 5 to 9 p.m.
Saturdays  9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.

All appointments for Acute Care are on a walk-in basis.  Acute Care wait times will also be available online at www.sanfordaberdeen.org on the main page.  The wait times are updated frequently.

Sanford's Acute Care allows a person to see a medical provider, complete lab or x-ray needs and receive a diagnosis all in one location.
