Sanford Clinic Aberdeen to Open Acute Care Service
(Aberdeen, SD) – Sanford Clinic Aberdeen announces its latest service, Acute Care, to the Aberdeen area. Not all acute medical needs happen during regular clinic hours. With Acute Care, area residents will be able to have their evening and weekend urgent (non-emergency) care needs, including laboratory and x-ray services, met all in one location. No appointment needed. Urgent needs may include ear infections, minor burns, strains or sprains, high fevers and much more. This new service will open Monday, November 23.
“What sets Sanford Clinic Aberdeen’s Acute Care apart from other area services is our ability to offer a complete array of clinical services to the patient onsite during Acute Care hours,” states Paul DeVoe, Clinic Director, Sanford Clinic Aberdeen. “Acute Care allows a person to see a medical provider, complete lab or x-ray needs and receive their diagnosis all without leaving the building.”
Acute Care is located at Sanford Clinic Aberdeen, 3015 3rd Avenue SE, and will be available seven days a week at these times:
- Weekdays 5-9 p.m.
- Saturdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Sundays 1-5 p.m.
Acute Care wait times will also be available online by visiting www.sanfordaberdeen.org. All appointments for Acute Care are on a walk-in basis.
Acute Care is one of several new services recently announced for the Aberdeen area, including My Sanford Chart and Healthformation. Healthformation is a free phone service that offers answers to medical questions and offers health advice from Sanford registered nurses. My Sanford Chart is an online feature for Sanford Health patients to view their electronic medical record, schedule appointments online, renew prescriptions, get lab results and email their care team.
